Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition Association

The Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition Association created on may 31, 2010, is a non-profit association « loi 1901 » type. It's goal is to organize a clarinet competition named « Concours International de Clarinette Jacques Lancelot », under the artistic direction of  Aude Richard-Camus. This competition is opened to candidates from all nationality, aged from 18 to 35 years old.

The goal is to honor the memory of Jacques Lancelot, famous artist and teacher, by  the organization of a musical event in order to reveal some young talented clarinetists.

This biennial competition take place alternately in France and in Japan. This association is in charge of the organization of the French edition of the competition.

  • First edition : 3 to 10 march, 2012, in Rouen (France).
  • Second edition : 25 to 31 august, 2014, in Yokosuka (Japan)
  • Third edition : 20 to 27 october, 2016. in Rouen (France)
  • Fourth edition : 26 august to 2 september, 2018. in Yokosuka (Japan).
  • Fifth edition : 20 to 23 october, 2021, in Rouen (France).

The sixth edition will take place during the summer of 2023 in Japan.
