The Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition Association created on may 31, 2010, is a non-profit association « loi 1901 » type. It's goal is to organize a clarinet competition named « Concours International de Clarinette Jacques Lancelot », under the artistique direction of Aude Richard-Camus. This competition is open to candidates from all nationality, aged from 18 to 35 years old.
The goal is to honor the memory of Jacques Lancelot, famous artist and teacher, by the organization of a musical event in order to make known some young talented clarinetists.
This competition, biennial, will take place alternately in France and in Japan. This association is in charge of the organization of the French edition of the competition. The first one took place from 3 to 10 march , 2012, in the city of Rouen. The second one will be held in Yokosuka (Japan) from 25 to 31 august, 2014, before comming back to Rouen for the third edition in 2016.
