As with each edition of the Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition, the finals feature an original work specially written for the occasion. For this edition, a concerto for clarinet and orchestra has been commissioned from the renowned composer Guillaume Connesson. "Chorea," as it is called, will be premiered on October 25, 2025, by the three finalists of the 7th Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition, accompanied by the Orchestre de Normandie Rouen under the direction of Jean-François Verdier.
